  Project Background  

Having just completed the historic rehabilitation of Piers 1 1/2, 3 & 5, San Francisco Waterfront Partners is committed to further enhancing the quality of the neighborhood.

The proposed plan meets and exceeds the Port of San Francisco's goals for the area that are identified in the Waterfront Land Use Plan. The 8 Washington Street project delivers improved neighborhood amenities, additional housing and open space to the neighborhood and business community.

San Francisco Waterfront Partners continues to refine and improve the plans for the 8 Washington Street project. The next steps include the preparation of an environmental impact report (EIR) by the San Francisco Department of Planning.
