EIR Certification Hearing: The Planning Commission will vote on the project approvals and EIR certification on Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 at 10am at City Hall Room 400. EIR Comments and Responses Published: On December 22, 2011, the Planning Department published the Comments and Responses which can be viewed here. General Plan Amendment Initiation: On December 8th, 2011, the Planning Commission voted to approve the General Plan Amendment Initiation. Draft EIR Hearing: The 8 Washington Draft EIR was published on June 15th and can be downloaded here. The Planning Commission hearing was July 21, 2011. The public comment period closed August 15, 2011. For more information, click here. Seawall Lot 351 Term Sheet: The San Francisco Port Commission unanimously approved the term sheet for Seawall Lot 351 on September 28, 2010. The term sheet is now subject to the Board of Supervisors' approval and the project is subject to CEQA review. We will keep you posted with our next steps in the process. Northeast Embarcadero Study: The San Francisco Planning Commission voted on July 8, 2010 in favor of the Northeast Embarcadero Study's planning guidelines. The Planning Department presented the guidelines to the Port Commission on July 13, 2010 and the 15 month effort and recommendations by the Planning staff was supported by the Port Commission. We would like to thank so many of you who participated in this Study over the past 15 months and who have provided your valuable input in your vision for our City's waterfront.

8 Washington is undergoing a full CEQA environmental impact review and anticipates securing entitlements in early 2012. Construction would commence in the summer of 2012 and would span approximately 2 1/2 years. SFWP looks forward to continuing work with the community, Port and City of San Francisco in an effort to make 8 Washington a reality. We will keep you abreast of schedule updates as they arise.
