Northeast Waterfront Planning Process: The San Francisco Planning Department will be hosting another workshop on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. The meeting will take place from 5pm - 7pm in the Port Commission Hearing Room in the Ferry Building.
The planning effort has been studying the Port seawall lot properties from Washington Street to North Point, including the 8 Washington site. At the next meeting, the Planning Department will be presenting refinements to the preliminary design recommendations and preliminary urban design guidelines for development in the study area. The preliminary design principals presented in September have been refined and new urban design guidelines have been developed to inform new development in the study area with respect to land use, views, open space, the quality of the streets, and building mass, scale and design. The Planning Department will solicit comment on these proposals. We encourage all stakeholders to attend and voice your opinions regarding the future of our waterfront.
